Caring for your Pearls

REMEMBER - A PEARL IS NOT A ROCK!  Pearls are a precious and sensitive gem that with proper care can last for generations. Being a natural and organic product made by a living creature, they require more specialized care to keep them beautiful and lustrous.

The surface of a pearl is very soft and is easily damaged by wear, chemicals and contact with other pieces of jewellery. A pearl ring or bracelet should be considered a special occasion piece, not for daily wear and DEFINITELY not to be worn while working with the hands.  Check out these useful hints to keep your pearls looking beautiful - read more.

IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY RECEIVING 10% OFF ALL OUR STOCK, THEN ASK TO JOIN OUR VIP CLIENTELE!

Just mention “Women in Business” and the first 5 people to bring their pearls in for re-stringing will receive a FREE Pearl Care Kit!

Art - Original Versus Print

This is a debate/discussion that I suspect has been raging since technology developments have allowed different print mediums to exist. I, personally and professionally don't see a problem with art prints particularly when in the context of living artists and they're being produced with the artist's permission.

In actual fact I also don't have a problem with prints of deceased artists because this is normally for the elite images and are often produced by the galleries that own the original - read more.

De-clutter Your Bathroom from Franc Essential

We’ve all done it. Bought an expensive item of skin care or makeup and then hardly or never used it. It sits there in the bathroom cabinet, ingredients congealing or breeding bacteria – and yet we simply cannot bring ourselves to throw it away.

It can also happen when we are gifted a makeup or skin care product. I’m particular about what I put on my skin, so when I’m presented with this kind of product it more often than not ends up moldering away on my bathroom shelf (if I don’t re-gift it first!) - read more including Tips to De-clutter and Organise Your Bathroom from Sara Hall of Finer Details Personal Concierge Services.
